What we do
So you've made a film. You're proud of it. It's your magnum opus.

Now it's time to show it to the world.

Maybe you want to submit it to a festival?

Or perhaps you want to screen it to your family and friends.

And the best way to get started? Convert your film into a DCP.

That's where we come in.
What is a DCP?
A DCP is a Digital Cinema Package.
This is the package used to deliver digital files in the highest possible quality
to modern digital cinemas.
Video is converted into a JPEG 2000 image stream, resulting in an often massive file that can be screened in the best possible quality.
Audio is converted into a 24-bit linear PCM uncompressed WAV file.

Most digital cinemas and festivals will not accept a film unless it is in a DCP.

While major distributors continue to ship films using CRU drives, modern cinema servers can receive films on any NTFS formatted hard drive.
CRU drives may be a lot faster when it comes to a digital transfer time, but they are far more expensive and require a Linux system to use.
Being able to distribute films on regular hard drives plays a big part in helping small distributors, as well as screening content locally.
Why choose DCP?
DCP packages ensure that the content being screened through a digital projector is consistently at the highest quality.

While it might seem easier or more efficient to screen content from a DVD or Blu-Ray,
or even just to stream the file through a video player on a laptop,
there is no substitute for the quality of a Digital Cinema Package.

A lot of digital cinemas are not properly equipped to screen content from external devices, resulting in films not fitting the screen properly or the audio not sounding right.

Having your film in a DCP will make sure that it will always look and sound the same every time, and leaves almost no room for error.
